Approximately the same size and weight as a NASCAR Nextel Cup car, but without the power and refinements, the Late Model is the first step for racers intending to climb the stockcar ladder.
Just like their bigger siblings, the Late Model features a tube-frame chassis wrapped in sheet metal with a 358-cubic-inch, small-block, carbureted, V8 under the hood. To get the most out of a Late Model, racers must have a deft and delicate touch on the controls because, at 3,400 lbs. and 350 hp, momentum is everything, and horsepower cannot compensate for driver errors.
