Gardner Assumes President's Title at iRacing.com; Continues as CFO

BEDFORD (5 December 2007) Tony Gardner has been named president of iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations. The announcement was made today by Dave Kaemmer, the company's CEO and co-owner with John Henry. Gardner will serve in a dual capacity, retaining his responsibilities as iRacing's CFO.

"At this point in the development of our product and our company, it's important that we bring someone to this position that has a lot of experience and expertise on the business side," Kaemmer said in making the announcement. "Tony has those qualities. His background includes start-ups as well as mature companies, and he has experience in operations and sales management as well as finance. He's the perfect guy for this role as we move into our launch phase."

Kaemmer noted another advantage to the new executive structure. "This realignment of responsibilities permits me to focus more energy on leading the development team," he said. "Ultimately, our customers in the motorsport world particularly those in the simracing community are going to benefit."

Gardner joined iRacing.com in June of this year, from Houghton Mifflin, where he was senior vice president and business manager. He has also held senior executive positions at The Learning Company and Achievement Technologies.

"Bringing a start-up to launch is always a challenge, but a satisfying one," Gardner said. "I'm pleased to be part of a great team, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on what promises to be a very successful launch this spring."
